Biography

Clarence Alex Storbakken, 81, East Grand Forks, MN died on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.
Clarence was born the son of William and Francis (Dauksavage) Storbakken on April 30, 1928. He grew up and attended school in Oslo, MN. Clarence married Eileen Olson on January 18, 1947 in Oslo, MN. Clarence worked in construction until he started his own construction business in 1971 and worked until the fall of 2009. He was known for the best black dirt in town. Clarence was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and he never knew a stranger and had a gift to gab.
Clarence is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eileen; children: Rick (friend Deb), East Grand Forks, MN, Suzanne (David) Hammond, Fowler, CA, and Terry (Tammi), East Grand Forks, MN and Deborah (Terry Moleski) Burke, East Grand Forks, MN; brothers: Florian (Helen) Storbakken and Wally (Toni) Storbakken, both of Grand Forks, ND; sisters: Marion (Larse) Myrhe, WA, Leona (Jack) Sanders, Grand Forks, ND and Cheryl Storbakken, MN; 19 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter. He is preceded in death by his parents; son: Lowell; 2 grandsons: Chad and Mathew; brother: Eugene; and sister: Irene.
