Albert F. Machal, 83, of East Grand Forks, MN, died Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Albert Machal was born September 11, 1926 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Frank and Emma (Bednar) Machal. He grew up in Tabor, attended country school near Tabor, MN. He then attended and graduated from the Northwest School of Agriculture in Crookston, MN. He then started his own repair shop on the family farm. He married Loretta Aas on November 3, 1948 in Bigwoods Lutheran Church, Oslo, MN. They made their home on the farm in rural Tabor, MN. Al farmed with his father for many years. He worked for Minnkota Power for more than 20 years. They enjoyed going to threshing shows, camping and going to the cabin near Mentor, MN.
He is survived by his wife Loretta of East Grand Forks, children Bruce (Judy) of Prior Lake, MN, Loree (Deacon John) Bruggeman, of Erskine, MN and Larry (Gloria) of Broken Arrow, OK, grandchildren, Brenda (Jim) Hagen, Joe (Tori Jeanetta) Machal, Katina (Andrew Floerke) Bruggeman, Kristina (Lonnie Maag) Bruggeman-Maag, and Stephanie Barrett, and great grandchildren, Brianna Machal, Matthew and McKenna Hagen, Damian and Simon Floerke, Phynix Bruggeman, and Mesa and Sedona Maag. He is preceded in death by his parents.
