Theola Filipi

August 21, 1921 - March 14, 2007

Theola Filipi 85 passed away Friday, February 2, 2007 at her home in East Grand Forks, Minnesota.
Theola Margarite Normandeau was born on August 21, 1921 in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Euseb and Grace (Green) Normandeau. Theola grew up and attended and graduated from Lafayette High School in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota. Following graduation she attended St. Josephs School of Nursing in Grand Forks, North Dakota. On November 10, 1942 she was united in marriage to Dallas Filipi in Grand Forks. From 1958 to 1981 she worked at Valley Medical in Grand Forks, North Dakota, for Dr Daily and Dr. Powers. She was a charter member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Grand Forks. Theola much enjoyed spending time at Lake of the Woods with her husband Dallas who preceded her in death on September 2, 1989.
Family members who survive Theola are her children; Leigh (Marilyn) Filipi of Hillsboro, North Dakota, Edward (Lori) Filipi of Custer, South Dakota, Richard (Sharol) Filipi of Park Rapids, Minnesota, Gayle (Ronald) Thorson of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, Kenneth (Kate) Filipi of Rosemont, Minnesota, Joel (Kathy Rabe) Filipi of Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin, Meredith Krom (Scott Peabody) of Mekinock, North Dakota, Dallas (Traci) Filipi of Plymouth, Massachusetts and Donald Filipi of Phoenix, Arizona, 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Theola is preceded in death by her parents, husband Dallas, and 5 sisters, Una, Doreen, Verla, Carroll and Janice.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Altru Hospice in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Visitation: Beginning at Noon until time of Funeral Service in Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Wednesday ~ February 7, 2007
